There’s something about meeting Santa that feels completely different when you’re little.
Maybe your child runs straight to him with a list they’ve been working on for weeks. Maybe they need a few minutes to decide whether this guy with the white beard can be trusted. Maybe they have seventeen stories to tell him before they even remember they came for a picture.
That’s exactly why my Santa mini sessions in Cornelius, NC are designed to be more than a quick “sit down, smile and next!” experience.
This year, Santa is coming to Mia Rose Photography in downtown Cornelius on Sunday, December 6, 2026, for a day of Christmas photos filled with personality, interaction and a little bit of magic.
Not Your Average Santa Photos
If your memories of Santa pictures involve a crowded mall, a long line and approximately twelve seconds to convince your child to smile, we’re doing things a little differently here.
Each family gets 15 minutes with Santa. That gives us time for the portrait everyone wants, but it also gives your child time to actually interact with him.
Santa might check his list.
There may be cookies involved.
There could be secrets, serious Christmas negotiations, belly laughs or a child who needs a little time before getting anywhere near him.
And all of that photographs beautifully.
I’m not looking for perfection. I’m looking for the expressions and interactions that show exactly what this season felt like for your family.
Your Child Doesn't Have to Sit on Santa's Lap
This part matters.
There is no requirement that your child sit on Santa’s lap, hug him or immediately feel comfortable with him. We follow your child’s lead.
Some children walk in ready to become Santa’s new best friend. Others prefer to observe for a while. Some are far more interested in the cookies than Santa himself.
That’s okay.
Rather than forcing a smile, we give them room to interact naturally while I photograph what happens. Those little side-eyes, giggles, conversations and completely unscripted expressions often become the photographs parents love most.
2026 Santa Mini Session Details
Santa will be at Mia Rose Photography in downtown Cornelius, NC on December 6, 2026.
Sessions are $250 and include 15 minutes with Santa and 10 fully edited digital images. After your session, you’ll receive a private proof gallery where you can select your favorites. Sessions are for a single household/immediate family.
And if narrowing it down to ten sounds impossible, there’s an option for that too.
The Whole Nice List is a $100 upgrade that gives you the entire final edited gallery.
